Well, first Happy New Year to everyone and I hope everyone had a great holiday.

Second, I did not have surgery in October. There was a problem with the donor tissue, so it was canceled and I was put back on the donor list. We got the call tissue was found during the first week of December and I went in for osteochondral allograft (cartilage transplant) surgery December 9th. The surgery was 3.5 hours, went well, and so far recovery has been going well. Knee is still swollen and I tire very easily still.

I cannot walk on the operative leg at all, so it is the wheelchair and crutches for me and I will be non-weightbearing until at least early February.

All in all I am in good spirits and am relieved that this has finally happened. The worst thing I think has been being cooped up in the house for so long, but I have not been idle. I have been doing a little sketching, getting ready to go back to school, working towards adobe certification, etc.

So that has been life for me.
